Choi Implanter DHI

What is the Choi Implanter DHI (direct hair implantation?

The Choi Implanter originated at the Kyungpook National University (KNU) in Korea. The idea behind the implanter device was simple: to combine the act of making an incision site in the recipient area and the implantation of an extracted graft into one act. The Choi Implanter is a pen-like device featuring a hollow needle attached to a tube and plunger apparatus. During a hair procedure with the Choi Implanter, the hair restoration physician and/or technicians loads harvested follicular units into the implanter pen. Using forceps, the graft is placed gently into the hollow needle (at the end of the implanter) and handed back to the physician. The surgeon then inserts the needle at an appropriate angle in the scalp (making the incision site) and implants the graft by pressing down on the plunger.  Normally, anywhere from 2-6 Choi implanters are used concurrently during a procedure, and the device comes in a variety of needle sizes to fit single, double, and triple follicular unit grafts.

With our innovative, state of the art technology and effective techniques, we offer both men and women the best hair transplant facility that will give you shiny, strong hair.

Hair transplantation is a surgical procedure which restores hair to thinning or bald areas of the scalp, eyebrows, and even the beard, using patient’s own hair. This hair is genetically modified to be permanent and is not susceptible to hair loss.

Advantages and Disadvantages of the Choi Implanter Pen?

According to some hair restoration experts, there are distinct advantages and disadvantages to the Choi Implanter device

Advantages

1. Adequate graft survival rates
2. Decreased bleeding during recipient site creation
3. Reduced trauma during graft handling
4. Decreased time of surgery (with an experienced Choi Implanter team) due to the combination of graft site creation/implantation
5. More density to the hair (possibility to make up to 100 grafts/cm3)
6. Rotate the graft to implant it in the natural direction which makes the hair grow in a smooth normal way
7. There is no scars while opening the canals of the grafts

Disadvantages

1. Increased time of surgery (but with our experienced Choi Implanter team there won’t be a lot of time of it) due to the combination of graft site creation/implantation
2. Generally, more expensive procedures
3. It can implant up to 3500 Hair follicles per day (for higher number it can be done In two following days)

1. FUE Hair transplant

FUE Hair transplant

FUE hair transplant stands for Follicular Unit Extraction, and refers to an advanced type of hair restoration surgery.  FUE is a method of donor hair extraction by which individual follicular units (naturally occurring groupings of hairs) are removed one-by-one and then transplanted to the recipient region.

History Of FUE

FUE was originally pioneered by Dr. Ray Woods of Australia.  Although many doctors were reluctant to adopt this new procedure, others (including Dr. Cole who soon developed his own refined FUE method- the Cole Isolation Technique, or CIT®) saw the potential and were excited about the idea of a ‘scar less’ hair transplant technique.  Today, there are numerous FUE theories, techniques and instruments available, and the procedure continues to evolve and gain popularity within the hair transplant community.

FUE Versus FUT

Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) is frequently referred to as the “strip” hair transplant procedure.  FUT is an older means of extracting donor hair, whereby a surgeon excises a linear strip of hair and tissue from the back of the scalp.  This tissue is then dissected into individual follicular units, by surgical technicians, and then placed in thinning or balding recipient regions.   Meanwhile, the wound is closed with the use of sutures.

One of the major drawbacks of the FUT method is that the patient will be left with a linear scar on the back and sides of their head.  This scar will be detectable if the patient opts to wear their hair very short, and may even stretch over time.  Strip procedures also permanently distort the direction of hair growth along the perimeter of the scar.

Advantages Of FUE

FUE hair transplantation, on the other hand, offers a number of advantages over FUT/strip procedures.  FUE does not leave a linear scar, nor does it distort the growth angles of hair.  FUE is a less invasive hair transplant procedure and therefore requires less healing and recovery time post-surgery.

With FUE hair transplantation, the donor hair available for extraction is maximized due to the ability of FUE surgeons to harvest hair from throughout the ‘permanent zone’, including nape hair, or even body hair.  Additionally, FUE doctors can select the follicular units that will offer the most hairs per graft, and produce an optimal yield.  Conversely, strip procedures limit surgeons to using only those hairs found in a single strip of scalp tissue.

Rather than leaving the important and delicate work of separating out the follicular units to surgical techs, FUE hair transplant doctors remove follicular units themselves.  In addition to keeping much of the graft handling in the hands of the most educated and proficient person for the job, FUE grafts spend much less time outside of the body, ensuring maximal survival.

In the hands of a skilled hair transplant surgeon, FUE transection rates are extremely low and graft survival rates are very high.  FUE procedures offer patients the best potential for natural-looking hairlines and the best overall aesthetic result.

Sapphire Technique

Technically its same stages as the FUE Technique, which starts by harvesting the follicles from the donor area once by one, then collect these follicles for a next stage, after that we open canals using a special blade created from one of the hardest & sharpest stones in the world named Sapphire blade

Advantages Of Sapphire Technique

  • it’s a revolution of the FUE the typical technique that has the highest number of operations all over the world
  • More accurate to the angle of opening the canals
  • It have incredible recovery
  • Safety to the skin tissues after the surgery which allows to give a natural look
  • Ability to change the sizes of the sapphire blade depending on each person and used for one time only
